Carlos Velez is currently Pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Thesis research focuses on a comparative multi-objective composition optimization and experimental evaluation of bulk metallic glasses. The work will compare optimization techniques for the development of halfnium-based BMGs, and validate the analytical work with the physical testing of manufactured BMG samples having the proposed optimized concentrations of alloying elements.
